Since our founding in 2008, TraceGains has been at the forefront of digital transformation in the food and beverage industry. We pioneered the first networked solution designed to connect brands, manufacturers, and suppliers, creating a collaborative ecosystem for sharing critical data. Our journey is one of continuous innovation, driven by a deep understanding of the challenges our customers face and a commitment to solving them with powerful, intuitive technology.
2008
A new vision for the food industry
TraceGains is founded by William Pape, whose earlier work at VeriFone helped modernize digital payments and whose AgInfoLink venture laid the groundwork for today’s supply chain intelligence. With TraceGains, he set out to bring the same level of transformation to the food industry.
Gary Nowacki and A.J. Dolan join as co-founders. Nowacki is appointed CEO and Dolan CTO, bringing decades of supply chain technology experience and a shared belief that the industry needed a smarter, connected future.
2010
Supplier Compliance launches
TraceGains introduces automated COA review, helping QA teams digitize inbound lot management and eliminate manual, error-prone processes.
2011
Supplier Management launches
This innovation provides centralized supplier records, documents, and performance tracking—an early game-changer for FSMA readiness.
2014
TraceGains Network begins
A bold new idea: Create a network where customers and suppliers can instantly share and access compliance documents, forever changing how the industry exchanges information.
2015
Quality Management launches
With its capabilities, plants can digitize quality data collection, streamlining decision-making on the production floor.
2016
Customer Management launches
Giving suppliers a centralized way to manage document collaboration with their customers—ones that would later evolve into TraceGains Gather®.
2018
Audit Management launches
Reducing audit panic by digitizing internal and supplier audits, along with CAR tracking, to help quality teams simplify and standardize audit programs.
2019
Specification Management launches
Paving the way for TraceGains New Product Development (NPD) suite. This helps R&D and quality teams create, collaborate on, and manage product specs digitally, speeding up innovation and reducing risk.
Horizon Scanning Global launches
Also known as HSG, it integrates global data sources to help QA teams proactively monitor supply chain threats.

A fully remote culture takes shape
